Hey Elon, where did the “affordable” Model 3 go?

Tesla is introducing a newer version of the Model 3 at a cost of $78,000. Brief background, Tesla cannot even make enough Model 3s for its customers to buy. It continues to hemorrhage money and will eventually need to raise more. By introducing a newer and more expensive version (twice the base price of $35,000), Tesla seeks to make more money to offset current losses, but at what cost? The Model 3 was supposed to be the affordable, mass market electric car with 500,000 pre-orders. Now those waitlisted buyers will need to wait much longer or perhaps indefinitely to get their affordable Model 3. A bigger question is how many of those waiting buyers will finally say enough is enough and ask for a refund of their $1000 deposit…
